Fun fact; I never wanted to read this novel. I read it's summary and I decided that it was a tad bit too sad for me. I mean a couple battling infertility, I couldn't relate. So, why subject myself to feel that.  It was only a certain turn of events that made me start this book. It was such a hard time for me.  Anyway, I started this book as a reprieve which I am still glad for. It was seriously one of the best books I've ever read. It wasn't perfect; the ending wasn't perfect at all, yet somehow it was as perfect as realistically possible. I have cherished every word of this hook. Cried almost at every page. Laughed at every other page. City Of Ashes is the second part in the series "The Mortal Instruments". Although I loved the first and third parts more than this one, it can't be argued that Cassandra Clare has infused some magic into this part as well.
